Ophola Ndam

Ophola Ndam is a final-year Bachelor of Laws student at the University of South Africa, passionate about justice and positive legal change. Her journey reflects this commitment; she initiated The Woke and Liable Drive, an initiative targeting GBV/Sexual Assault in schools and communities through conversations, fundraising, and workshops, and mentors young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds through Girls4Girls, an international organization.

Ophola’s legal interests focus on human rights, particularly flaws in South African Child and Human Rights Law, including socio-economic impacts on child vulnerability, limited access to justice, and inconsistent application of the “best interests of the child” principle. Her aspirations involve contributing to a truly protective legal system by addressing implementation gaps and strengthening enforcement for children in South Africa
