The SWCM Colloquium is an annual event that brings together young professionals in the legal profession as well as those who hope to join the profession in the near future.

We are thrilled to present this year’s installment of the colloquium, themed “Passing The Baton Amongst Women.” The chosen theme aims to illuminate the importance of women supporting each other within the legal fraternity, fostering unity in the collective effort to overcome challenges such as inequality and the insufficient representation of women in key positions within the sector.

The primary objective of this dialogue is to inspire the young legal minds attending the Colloquium by mobilizing a united front to address the challenges faced by women in the legal sector in South Africa. In doing so, we aspire to create a platform for networking, encouraging women to strategically collaborate within their respective specialties. This collaboration will not only address current challenges but also symbolically contribute to our main objective of fostering a supportive and empowered community.
