Thuto Itumeleng

Thuto Itumeleng is an LLB graduate from the University of the Western Cape, currently pursuing an LLM in Information and Communications Law at the University of the Witwatersrand. She is deeply passionate about areas such as data protection, cyber law, and intellectual property.

With a firm belief in the intersectionality of law and legal contexts, she embraces a radical, intersectional feminist perspective and believes in using the law as a tool to achieve gender justice.

Her aspirations lie in the risk and regulatory sphere of data protection and compliance, particularly within the framework of POPIA. Ultimately, she aims to be an attorney specializing in data protection law and competition law.

Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, she enjoys getting lost in her world of books and indulging in a Lord of the Rings movie marathon in her free time.
